4 Violent Truths about Freelancing Jobs – Part 2

Before we continue, make sure you have gone through part one of the “violent truths about freelancing jobs” because we will build on them and go all through number eight.

If you have not gone through them, pause here and read them first to get glimpses as to why we are talking about them and their effects on your freelancing life.

First four truths were as follows;

 i.  Freelancing is only for the hardworking

ii.  Freelancing is exceedingly hard work

iii. Freelancers are vulnerable to jerks than anyone else

iv. In Freelancing, you work for ungrateful people.

For those who have already gone through part one, let us progress.

       v.  Freelancing community comprises of amazing people

After years of struggling as a new freelancer, you come to realize that those who are most successful in this industry are very welcoming and ready to help if you seek advice.

As a new freelancer who has not even established a blog, you will be competing with freelancers who will be ready to stain your moods and feelings through unnecessary abuses.

The best way to go when these happens is to explore higher horizons through hanging out on writers’ forums and read a lot of freelance blogs to sharpen your skills and lean new writing skills.

You will be amazed to find out that high quality freelancers and blog writers are courteous, humble and lowly in character.

They are ever ready to share their experience and help you where necessary.

Internet marketing gurus like Chris Garret, Dosh Dosh among others can be resourceful through having conversation with them on Twitter.

vi. You will have the flexibility to live your life

With freelancing, you can pursue other errands in life like looking after your young one.

Sometimes, you may feel like working from a new surrounding and the only thing you will require is a bag to carry you laptop.

This gives you the flexibility to do some unavoidable necessities and work from a place of your convenience.

Besides this, you have the freedom to reschedule your activities without having to report or consult anybody else.

Unlike when working in a day time job, you have your time off when you are unwell and you will recover the lost time at your convenience.

In a nutshell, there will be nobody to be tracking your steps but you become responsible for yourself and the business.

vii. Freelance makes you to be in control of your destiny

This is usually the most difficult choice for those who are not willing to be freelancers because a real freelancer depends on himself to make major decision in life.

You will have no one to rely on in order to pay your bills, insurance covers, paying your mortgage and taking you kids to college among other life issues.

You need to plan on how to pull your strings together to come up with products and services that will give the financial security you need.

Freelancing is your lifeblood and you will need to be a good strategy planer and manager in order to achieve your dreams.

Make good plan because your entire family depends on you as a parent or one to be,

viii. There is no better job than Freelancing

Before I comment on this, the hard fact that you have to swallow is that; freelancing is not for everyone.

If you can withstand longer hours of hard work, dealing with unreasonable clients, unthankful jerks, then the joy you reap or by working with a flexible schedule, making your own decisions without having somebody to nag you around, creating networks of friends and having control over your destiny is very impressive.

In conclusion, if you are hardworking and self-motivated, you can use these principles and enjoy working as a freelancer.
